A Little Retail Therapy

Hi All,

Took a little trip over to my local wargames show on Sunday morning. The WMMMS show held at Aldersley Leisure Centre Wolverhampton is a great little show that attracts about 50 traders and a load of demonstration and participation games. It was nice to meet toxicpixie from the SMP forum who was putting on a 10mm Indochina CWC game. Also met the guys from Stoke Wargames and will be spending Friday nights at their club premises in Longton.

Got a few bits, mainly bases and dice. The main reason for the trip was to try and get some hills for Crisis Point 2 - Arctic Strike and I picked up some nice pieces from Lancashire Games and Kallistra.

These are the hills from Kallistra, I will probably get some more of these as I like the escarpment detail along one side of each hill.

Cheers

More From The Workbench

Some more WARPAC forces assembling for April's Crisis Point 2 game. A point to note is in the first pictures you can see the old ISM (In Service Miniatures) BM-27 and Reload Vehicle both nice miniatures then later we get right up to date with some Czech RM-70 MRL from Shapeways. Here posing as some East German artillery.

ID Help

Can anyone help with the ID and manufacturer of the following, they look like Scotia? Thanks for looking.

The Road Goes Ever On And On

Been busy today putting the finishing touches to some of the roads for Crisis Point 2. Inspired by a recent purchase from Fat Franks I have produced about 12ft of roads for the Bodo table. I am working on the E6 which I plan to make slightly wider and I only need about 6ft.

The roads from Fat Franks add about another 12-14ft so when I have finished the E6 I should have enough roads for the 14' x 6' table.

Busy Busy Busy

Hi Comrades,

I haven't posted for a while but I thought I would wait until I had started to get things finished. So here we go, a small selection of some of the WARPAC forces preparing for the invasion of Norway in April.

MAZ-537 Tank Transporters returning to collect another platoon of armour destined for the transport ships.

The column clogs the roads preparing for Arctic Strike

T62's with scratch built ammo trailers from an idea used in Afghanistan.

Two conversions that I have done, at the front a GAZ66 Engineering Truck and at the rear a BTR-80 BREM Engineering Vehicle. Both of these are conversions and I am really pleased with the final result.

Lots more to come in the next few weeks in the run up to Crisis Point 2 - Arctic Strike.
